The deceased transporting marungi from Koboko to Yei entered an ambush in a place called Gulumbi. According to other witnesses, the deceased was stopped by armed men; he refused to stop, prompting them to shoot him to death. The Yei-Kaya road has long been a hot spot for armed group activities and has claimed the lives and properties of many civilians and citizens of this country. This incident has been regarded as a very tragic one and citizens of Yei continue to live and travel in fear along this road.
