Here is why -
Chaung Oo Township court sentenced U Htin Lin Oo on 2nd June 2015, for 2 years in jail with hard
labour, for advising the public to defy the extremist Buddhist monks. The judgment is based on the
section 295 (A) of the statute. He is a member of the NLD information committee, and an author of
many books. He was arrested in December 2014, and charged with section 295 (A) and section 298 by
Chaung Oo Township court.
