This occurred on Libogo market day in Lasu Payam, where traders from Yei travel to the village of Libogo to purchase goods to be sold on in Yei markets. The woman arrived late and could not catch up with the convoy of vehicles transporting other traders to the markets. Instead, she opted to hire a motorcycle to get to the market. Before they arrived at their destination, the woman and the driver drove into an ambush. The motorcyclist was released but the woman is still detained till now. She has a breastfeeding baby at home (i.e., who was not with her at the time of the ambush). We are all hoping for her safe return.
