Here is why -
9 CIVILS HUTU KIDNAPPED BY THE MAY-MAY MAZEMBE At CHERERE IN THE NORTH-KIVU:
The 9 civilians were all kidnapped between 16 and 17:00 on Monday 20th
February in CHERERE (5km-west of KIBIRIZI) in BIRUNDULE, in the
MUTANDA Group, BWITO Headquarters northwest of the RUTSHURU Territory,
in the Province of NORTH-KIVU.
The coalition of May-May MAZEMBE and NDC-Rénové / GUIDON made
incursion into the country, taking as hostage the victims found in
their fields.
According to our sources, the May-May MAZEMBE and NDC (NANDE, HUNDE
and NYANGA) targeted only members of the HUTU community among the
farmers they met. They took them as hostages before bringing them to
their destination which remains to be discovered.
