August 29
In 2014 when religious conflict were taking place, a Rohingya who suspected to be in setting fire in Hindu village, was arrested and put on trial on August 25. The suspect is a 36- year- old Mohammad, 36 who work with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees UNHCR in Maundaw.
The police forces reported that in 2014 June 8, an unknown Bengali (which is used by Government to refer Rohingya) group set fire on people houses and theatres from eastern ward Hindu village in Maungdaw.
The suspects of that incident were declared as absconder and on August 11 U Mohammad was arrested in Maungdaw.
Being accountable for 2012 terrorism conflict, Daw Cho Lay Mar (UNHCR/CSSEP), Khin Maung @ Anawar Sadat(UNHCR)and Khin Swe@ Kayas(WFP) were sentenced to Jail and got released upon the summon of the President after 3 days.
