A Facebook page with the name of Sai Pyae Han Phyo has posted a comment on 15 July that mosques in Rakhine Yangon, Mandalay, Taunggyi and Mawlamyine are collecting acid for launching attacks and it said an international terrorist group ISIS is planning to target Myanmar among the Asian countries. The post was accompanied by 15 photos. The photos posted were those of the bomb attack on Buddhist shrine in downtown Bangkok last August. The post was liked by more than 1400 people as well as shared among 2372 Facebook users and commented by 401 people. Among those commented was Nay Lay he wrote “son of the bitch your whole race would be wiped out” in reference to Muslims. And Maung Maung wrote if there is terrorist attack against Myanmar not only Kular (a derogatory term used in Myanmar for Muslims and people of south Asian origins), but also NLD party members who support Kulars would also be killed. The accusation in the post has no evidence to prove it was aimed just to spread rumors and hatred. The post is seen by many as intentionally doing to spread hatred and fear against other religion.
