Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella stated on 9th December that laws to make COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all eligible citizens are being drafted with plans also under way to replace the physical vaccination card with a mobile application, which is expected to be available to the public over the next two to three months. Additional info: Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga announced on 19th December that showing COVID-19 vaccination certificate will be compulsory for entry to public places starting from 1st January 2022.
