This report is Probably false and is of Low Priority. Here is why -
An independent fact checker has revealed that insurance companies take into consideration a range of factors when accepting insurance claims during the lockdown period. Insurance Association of Sri Lanka, a collective of a few leading insurance companies in the country has mentioned the same, while the Police Media Spokesperson has stated that a range of humane reasons such as attending a funeral, getting medicine etc. are valid reasons to go out of the house and insurance companies do take into consideration such reasons. He had also mentioned that issuance of curfew passes is not happening this time around, as it was used to happen.
