A Dhama (Buddhist religious) School, sponsored by Ma Ba Tha, is due to be inaugurated 2 July in Ma U Bin Township in Ayeyardwady Region. The inauguration of the school will be held at Thune Htat Buddhist congregation hall situated on Myo Shaung Road. Similar schools were open in all 26 townships in Ayeyarwady Region. Ma Ba Tha is also organizing training of trainers programme as the group aim to conduct trainings across the region, including in the remote villages. Ma Ba Tha has instructed the local communities to collect 70 persons from each town to join the training. The vice chair of Ma Ba Tha’s Ma U Bin chapter, Bandata Nanda Malar has open a school in collaboration with Kayin Wintha Palar group where at least 1000 students are being trained. The groups also plan to conduct similar trainings in the villages. The news on the schools were widely featured in the Facebook pages of the so-called nationalists. They says Ma Ba Tha School are providing training for the youths with an aim for them to become true patriots. Another senior Ma Ba Tha member, Mya Nan Monk who is from Mottamma in Mon State, highlighted in his sermon on the importance of the courses being conducted by Ma Ba Tha.
