Three Bengali teenagers arrested on the bus

The police has arrested three Bengali teenagers on the bus while they were travelling from Mawlamyine to Yangon on 16 November. The three were arrested on a bus own by the Shwe Nadi bus line after the Mawlamyine gate in-charge of the bus line reported to the police. The three youths arrested are age between 15 and 11 and they live Paung Htut village in Mrauk U Township in Rakhine State. They are not yet formally charged, as they are minor. The deputy head of the immigration department of the Hlegu Township, where the three were arrested, has applied to the court. The court will seek evidence on their age before accepting the case to be proceed. Reference: The San Taw Chein newspaper 23 November, 2016.
