This report is Confirmed true and is of Low Priority. Here is why -
The police in Labutta Township re-arrested a journalist couple on 3 November, to face charges against them. The couple U Zaw Myo Oo and San San Aye live in Aawba Road of the Ayeyarwady delta town were on bail since 29 August after they were initially arrested two weeks earlier under the article 66 (D) of the telecommunication law. They are facing charges at a complaint of a resident of Bi Tut village Ko Shwe Ko Ko, after the journalists wrote on their Facebook page named Zawsmyo Stephan Ayeyarwady Gossip, a post with the title “we want to inform NLD and other relevant people”. They were re-arrested after the prosecutor office gave permission to formally charge them. A complain letter on the incident was sent to the president office on 2 September by a human rights activist group said the arrest of the journalist couple was to “ deliberately target people from a minority faith with intention to incite racial and religious violence”. Zaw Myo Oo said “after we were arrested our children were dismissed from the school my elder son is in 3rd grade and the younger one if at kindergarten. I am not feeling well. But, I have to face the trail for the truth to come out, I think it is unfair me and my wife were arrested for using a single phone as an evidence, I think it is because we are from a minority religion group”.
