Area chiefs in Kolnyang area confirmed that residents of the Total area, mostly women and children fled to Bor Town after armed men suspected to be Murle tribesmen were sighted near the village water pond at night. According to one of the chiefs, some villagers who had fled later returned to their homes after the local youth mobilized to secure the village.
