An independent fact checker has confirmed that no personal driver of the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has been arrested in relation to the Sithulpawwa treasure hunting incident. However, the person who was posing with Sajith Premadasa in the picture that was used in fake posts indeed was indeed one of the suspects arrested in relation to this incident. That photo had been taken at a private function at his place, attended by Sajith Premadasa. Sajith Premadasa's media secretary has denied the claim.
