Here is why -
Despite of the Constitution and Election law prohibits use of religious sentiment in
campaigning for vote the National Development Party led by a former presidential aide U Nay Zin Latt said it will use protection of race and religion as its key campaign message.
The chair of National Development (NDP) Dr Nay Zin Latt told a local media that his policies include promoting nationalism, nation loving spirit, and race loving spirits.
The provision 417(D) prescribed that any party which use religious sentiments for political purposes shall be disqualified.
NDP is to contest for 330 seats nationwide and it is the fourth largest party in term of the number of seats to be contested in the forthcoming election.
