In several news outlets, and the press statement by the SPLM Eastern Equatoria State Secretariat, it has confirmed the report true stating that the incident occurred in Ngarera Lohipor Boma, Homiri Payam of Budi County. Where the delegates, who were traveling back to Chukudum after receiving the President's endorsement, fell victim to an ambush. Which resulted in the loss of two lives, including a driver and a woman, while a young girl sustained injuries. At present, the perpetrators behind this roadside ambush remain unidentified.
In response to this incident, the National Government has announced plans to deploy additional security forces to the area. The purpose of this deployment is to ensure the safety of SPLM party supporters and prevent any further security threats as the country approaches its upcoming elections.
