This report is Confirmed true and is of Medium Priority. Here is why -
The nationalists has expressed their view that those who are in favor of amending the 2008 constitution should leave Myanmar. It was mentioned in the posters used at an event to support the article 59 f of the constitution. The event was organized in Yangon on 28 February. However, using of these words were not submitted when application for permission to hold the event was submitted to the authorities. At the event, Daw Khin Waine Kyi from the New National Party, U Aye Paing, an Advisor of the Race and Religion Protection Committee (MaBaTha), U Nay Myo Wai, the Chair of the Diversity and Peace Party and U Win Ko Latt from Myanmar Nationalist Network took led in giving speeches. The article 59 f prescribed one of a qualification for the president and political analysts believed that the article is used to bar Daw Aung San Suu Kyi from becoming president. It is in the rights of the parliament to consider on whether or not the provision should be amended. Calling for the expulsion of those who are in favor for amendment is a clear threat to the citizen’s rights.
