This report is Confirmed true and is of Low Priority. Here is why -
Mandalay-based a senior monk said the monasteries in the border areas, which were destroyed in the conflict affected border region of Myanmar, would be rebuilt. Bandata Tikha, the patron of Bya Ma So Charitable Organisation said the monasteries needed to be rebuilt as there are small numbers of Buddhists live in these areas. “Buddhists are minority in the ethnic regions. As the monasteries destroyed in conflicts monks living in those monasteries, have to do their religious practises without proper shelter from rain and wind. I would personally raise fund for repair,” the monk said on 22 March. He said the monasteries to be repaired include the one in Mone Ko which was destroyed due to conflict also some in Chin hill and Naga Region as well as in the coastal areas. In contrast, the mosques destroyed by Buddhist extremist are still being sealed off. They include mosques in Taungoo, in Rakhine State and in Meiktila, which were affected by sectarian violence in 2001, 2012 and 2013 respectively. Similarly, there are no actions taken against the Buddhist groups for intruding into the Churches in the ethnic regions. Reference: San Taw Chein Daily
