This report is Probably true
and is of
Medium Priority.
Here is why -
Several media reports had mentioned that Minister of Justice Ali Sabri is deeply concerned about the appointment of Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara as the Chairperson of the newly formed Presidential Task Force on "One Country, One Law", without consulting him. They further mentioned that the Minister is expected to render the resignation after President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s return to the country from the UK. On 6th November, it was reported that Ali Sabry submitted his letter of resignation, from his membership in the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), his parliamentary seat, and the justice portfolio, to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on 5th November, and that the President had refused to accept the resignation letter.
