The Orma community are planning to stage a demonstration after IEBC list of 220 candidates who qualified as returning officers showed 180 or so are from one community (Pokomo) and this is an alleged plan to rig elections in favor of Pokomo candidates.

Here is why -
Even though the numbers in question are not accurate but its true that majority of the returning officers are from one community and the reason is that only afew of the Orma community members applied for the jobs and majority of the people who applied for the jobs are teachers who are Pokomos. IEBC has promised to liaise with the elders of the Orma and Wardei who raised the concerns and give them slots on the soon to be advertised clerk positions just to strike an inter-communal balance in all polling stations.
