This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
The Education Department in South Dagon Township has rejected an application by a student, Ma Aye Shwe Zin Win, to join higher education diploma classes, as she has no citizenship identification card. She sent the application to join the diploma class, which provide training to the teachers, on 1 September but the Education Department has rejected the application on the ground that she could not produce her citizenship ID. But the department accepted her application one week later, after she warned that she would post on the social media, on rejection of her application, to inform the higher authorities in the education department. However, a person who is helping Ma Aye Shwe Zin Win to get admission said it is still not clear if she will get admission despite of her application accepted. Ma Aye Shwe Zin Win’s father is a civil servant work at Thalyin Oil Refinery and he submitted an application for her citizenship ID in 2008 but she has not received the card yet.
