The authorities in Mandalay detained a twin brothers Aung Zaw Moe and Aung Kyaw Moe for possessing guns, ammunitions and illegal drugs. The twin lives at 82nd Street between 29th and 30th street, Chan Aye Thar Zan Township, Mandalay. The brothers have been running the shops, Swan Htat traditional medicine and Aung Store. According to the media both brothers are Buddhist. Since 27th June 2015, U Wirathu and anti-Muslim activists have been posting the rumours on various websites and Facebook pages, that these brothers are Muslims and the authorities have discovered a major jihad plan. The weapons appear to be antiques and parts, possibly capable of firing but of limited use.
