This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
A 200 years old Muslim cemetery in Yemaithin Township in Mandalay Region was ordered to move to a new location, the township General Administration Depart said on 9 July. U Htat Myat Aung, the head of the township General Administration Department said his department was acting according to the municipal law and the cemeteries of the other religions were also asked to move. He said the respective religious leaders would be invited to give blessing to the departed souls after the cemeteries have moved out. The new location for Muslim cemetery is in Kyaw Htat Kyun village which is situated about three miles from Yemathein. According to historical records, the Muslim cemetery in Yemaithin is between 200 to 500 years old. Some people are using displeasure among the Muslims to incite religious violence by saying that force will be used if Muslims have not agreed with the relocation. U Htet Myat Aung, however, has said there is no major differences between the members of the different religions in Yemaithin. He said permission to turn the cemetery land for development purposes has been submitted. Reference : 7days, July 9
