Here is why -
The authorities in Bago forced to stop construction of a building inside the compound of Wazir Mosque as it has no permission for the construction from the municipal department.
The mosque is situated in Tabinshwe Hti Road of Ward No 2 at the Bago’s Oaktha satellite township.
Construction of a platform for car washing and a building with iron sheets inside the mosque compound had to stop after the authorities say no permission was granted by municipal department for such constructions.
The head of the trustees of the mosque U Nang Win (a.k.a) Shafi was summoned to the township administration office on 10 March and he was asked to sign an undertaking on not to continue the construction work.
The authorities frequently forced construction in the mosque and religious schools and it is always cumbersome to get permission for construction of Islamic religious facilities.
