Here is why -
A video featuring reenacted a rape incident against a Rakhine woman in 2012 will be distributed across the world, U Wira Thu has said. The trailer of the video “Dark day” was posted online with an aim to incite a new wave of violence against Muslims.
A trailer of the video which was posted on U Wirathu’s Facebook page on 30 January shows how the woman Ma Thida Htwe was raped and how her throat was silted. The video was shared among 6000 Facebook users within 24 hours after it was posted. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issue a warning against the trailer of the video.
U Wira Thu announced on his Facebook page on 16 February around midnight that he will spread the video across the world.
