The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Minister U Myint Hlaing told voters not to believe claim love for nation by those who married to a person of different race and religion. He was speaking in campaign in Nay Pyi Taw where he is standing as a lower house candidate.
“If someone married to a Kula (a derogatory word used in Myanmar to refer people of South Asian origin and Muslims), a Hindu, a Muslim and claim love for the nation, you should not believe, U Myint Hlaing told at a meeting with voters in Kyaukchein village in Nay Pyi Taw’s Dakhinashi Township.
A complaint was lodged against U Myint Hlaing after his aide U Kyaw Win, a former director general of Irrigation Department has distributed umbrella and hand used fans on which campaign message of U Myint Hlaing were distribute among the electorates.
