This report is Confirmed true and is of Low Priority. Here is why -
A senior leader of Ma Ba Tha, Myanmar acronym for the Association for Protection of Race and Religion said the people hate and want to kill those who are calling for amendment of the Constitution. Myazedi Monk from Mon state made the comment during an interview with Myanmar Now newspaper. “Not only Ko Ni there are many people who are doing to is to put country in danger that is why many people wants to kill them, remind them about that,” the monk said in a reference to the killing of U Ko Ni, a leading campaigner for the constitutional amendment who was assassinated last January. The monk said whoever advocate for constitutional amendment like the Muslim lawyer U Ko Ni they would face a similar fate even if they were Buddhist or member of other religions. He said there is no need to amend the 2008 Constitution at this stage and even if people wanted to do, they could not do without the agreement of the military. And it will only increase hatred if the people press for the Charter change. Reference: Myanmar Now , Mar 1, 2017
