Several mainstream and web media have reported that the Colombo Crimes Division has started an investigation on the alleged death threat made by former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen against a prison doctor. As per many reports, the threat had included the following components: threat of transfer, threat against life, and asking the doctor to find a place to hide. However, no report mentioned the exact means of death the doctor was threatened with, hence it is impossible to verify whether it was a threat to burn to death.
