The 5th martial arts training in Thanlyin Township conducted by the Association for the Protection of Race and Religion- which is more widely known by its Myanmar acronym Ma Ba Tha- was has completed on 11 August. The event was reported on the Facebook page of Okkalar Min Gyi. The trainees at the Ma Ba Tha class has to take four oaths. They include to strive for the existence of the Myanmar race on the earth and also to protect Bamar race and Buddhist religion. They also have to abide by 5 oaths of Myanmar martial arts federation. The fifth point of the oath is to protect the country, race and culture. The fourth point is to obey order from the superiors. The revelation about Ma Ba Tha martial arts training has raised concern among the members of minority community in Myanmar. The latest training is the 5th and similar trainings were previously conducted in Ayeyarwady, Bago and Yangon regions. And pro-Ma Ba Tha youths who called themselves as the patriots have attended these trainings.
