Here is why -
A local source said a senior Monk in Kayin State is planning to build a monastery on land owned by Anglican Church.
The source said Myaing Gyi Ngu monk and his followers are planning to build a monastery in a narrow lane between a primary school and the church in Kun Taw village in Hline Bwe Township.
The Pastor of the Church Saw Stailo has reported to the Kayin State government after he saw a huge pile of bricks near the site.
Starting from this year April Myaine Gyi Ngu monk and his followers have built two pagodas and a congregation hall inside the Kun Taw village church. In addition, they reportedly have constructed 20 pagodas in the other parts of the village.
