This report is Probably true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
A ward administration member has ordered closure of summer Arabic classes in Ein Mae Township in Ayeyarwaddy Region, the parents of the students at the school said. Maluvi Aung Naing of the Upper Ward Arabic School said the classes were closed after the head of 100 households at the ward, at an instruction of the head of the ward administration, told to close the classes. 35 students were studying in the classes. The closure of the school was confirmed by the head of the ward administration U Thein Lwin on 23 March. He said he ordered for the closure following a complaint by a resident of the ward. The complaint says the school has to be closed down as many student gathered in the evening and also it was not known what was taught in the school. The parents of the students said their children are facing difficulties to learn Arabic and it is a big loss for them. Ein Me Township faced religious tension since 2012 after incitement by a Buddhist group formerly known as 969, which has changed its name to the Race and Religion Protection Committee. (Ma Ba Tha)
