This report is Confirmed true and is of Medium Priority. Here is why -
The authorities in Shwe Hlay village in Mon State has ordered for demolishing of an Islamic school in the village. They said the school was built without permission. A 12 days deadline was given to demolish the school building. On 6 November, a letter from Bi Lin Township General Administration Department to the officials of the mosque in Shwe Hlay village to demolish the school was sent on Sunday, despite of being a public holiday. The letter said the school was built on farmland not on the land designated for construction of religious building, which is against the existing rules. The school is built on 0.4-acre land donated by a Muslim to use for building a religious school and run as a trust. On that land, a school and a building for worship were constructed. Source of BHRN
