A Facebook page with the name of Wira Moe Sess has carried a message on 25 July that a 4thgrade girl student was raped by a 9th grade Muslim boy. It was found to be incorrect. The Facebook post said the rape incident took place in Mandalay on 24 July. It said a Muslim boy Mung Phyo Thu who was accused of committing the crime was arrested by Aung Pin Lae Police. The post said the alleged rape took place near a lake situated in Kan Tha Yar 61st Street of Chan Myae Tha Si Township. However, according to the police no such incident took place. The post, however, has received reaction from 158 people and the 342 other have shared it and 13 people commented on it. A Facebook user Aung Beauty Love responded to the post by calling for death of all Muslims. Other posts also came in support of the extreme actions against the Muslims.
