This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
A prominent writer, in an article published in a pro-Buddhist the Thagi Thwe journal, has encourage children to read the literature on nationalism. Sayar Nant That Nwe (Pauk) wrote in the volume 4 and number 8 of the journal that the teachers who are teaching at the Dhamma Buddhist schools should teach students on nationalism. The writer wrote in the article with the titled “Youth and the nationalist ideology” that the students should have a dedicated time in a day to read articles, like “We are afraid about disappearance of our race”, “Noble person’s compassion written with blood” as well as an article written by an anti- Muslim monk U Wirathu with the title “Catfish from Africa”. He said such literature should be taught in the Dhamma Schools apart from the religious books. Sayar Nant That Nwe added that by reading such articles the children would become aware of the threat posed to the race and learn how to protect it. He also encourage the children to read such journals as Thagi Thwe, Ah Tu Mashi, and Aung Zeya Tu. He said the teachers at the Dhamma school themselves should read such literature for many times so that they will be able to teach back to the children. He also wrote that only when there are religious teaching in the heart of the students they could take lead in the future to protect the race and religion. The literature and the journals the writer encouraging the children to read are actually seen by many as poisonous for children and by reading them they could become racists. Across Myanmar there are a total of 5920 Dhamma schools they are establish in most of the townships in Myanmar and the Myanmar Nationalist Network use the schools to spread their message of religious hatred.
