This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
A group, which called itself, the Nationalist Monks League (MNL) has designated a village near Yangon as a Buddhists village. The group put up the sign on 30 May to proclaim the Sin Ma Kaw village in Kyauktan Township as Buddhist village. The move followed a visit to the village by a Christian missionary group led by Daw Khin Saw Wai Oo. The Christian group faced violent protest by so called the Nationalist Youth group at the village. The Buddhist youth smashed the windows of the missionary group’s car. The local authorities have asked the youth group to apologize to the mission for their violent action but they so far they refused to do so. After the incident, monks from Yangon chapter of the MNL went to Sin Ma Kaw village and erected a sign, which read as “Buddhist Village”. According to a post on the Wira Myo Set Facebook page, the village has five Christians from three households, despite of it being declared as a Buddhist village.
