Here is why -
A USDP member from Shan State has donated Kyat 40 million to MaBaTa, was stated on the Facebook page of U Wiratu, on 1st September.
Recently former military general U Lin Zaw Thun, retired to participate in parliament election, donated forty million kyats (estimated American dollar$31000) to the Race and Religions Protection Committee.
MaBaTa committee insisted voters to support fully to the delegate of any party who supported decisively the Buddhist Nationalism, said U Lin Zaw Thun. Therefore, some politic analysts consider the donation was made to achieve the support of MaBaTa in coming election.
Election committee allowed up to ten million kyats to canvass for votes. But election committee chairman, U Thin Aye, stated that delegates’ self-financing were not limited until before voting period, starting on 8th September.
