This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
THE authorities imposed a ban on gathering of the Christians in Hopong Township in Wa Special Administered Division for Sunday mass at a private residence. Reverend U Kyaw Pye host the mass at his residence every Sunday from many years. On August 19, the Head of Religious Affairs Department of Hopong Township issued a letter to prohibit the mass at U Kyaw Pye’s residence which is being held every Sunday and include prayers and signing of worship songs. The officials from the department of propagation of religion, the head of township Religious Affairs Department, the Head of General Administration Department and the Ward administrator went to U Kyaw Pye’s home to deliver the letter.
