Here is why -
U Wirathu has threatened to inflict punishment on the Burmese government unless the boat people issue is solved immediately. U Wirahtu warned the Burmese government that unless the boat people from Bangladesh were sent back immediately to their country the Burmese public would punish the government. U Wirathu said, “Burmese government had bowed to the international pressure and allowed Bengalis to shelter in Burma and now they are still remaining in the country. The Burmese government must not commit similar mistake in the future”.
Among the 559 boat people from Bangladesh who have been detained by Rakhine Border Guard Force in Taung Pyo Lat Wae city, 15 have escaped and one of them has been arrested. Ma Ba Tha is demanding to government to send them back to Bangladesh Immediately.
