Medium Priority.
Here is why -
On the 10th of January 2025, the governor of Jonglei State released figures of money raised through taxes in the previous year and how it was spent. The deputy governor disputed the figures and claimed that the figures underestimated the total amount of money raised and accused the governor of corruption. The governor in turn accused the deputy governor of insubordination. This back and forth accusations among the state officials divided the youths along tribal lines with the Nuer siding with the Governor who is a Nuer and the Dinka youth supporting the deputy governor, a Dinka.
