An commentary in Thargi Tway journal said the UN Refugees Agency UNHCR has started the policy of discrimination based on race and religion in Rakhine State.
The journal which is a mouthpiece of a pro-Buddhist organisation Ma Ba Tha publish the commentary titled “Danger of the people who exploit religion by using democracy and human rights as excuses” in its publication volume 4 no 17.
The article said after the Nagamin campaign conducted do citizenship verification of Bengali Muslims living in Rakhie State, UN has get involved in the Rakhine State matters. The campaign was conducted during the reign of U Ne Win and his socialist government. The commentary said after UNHCR got involved in Rakhine State matter Bengalis have become more desperate and become internally displaced people. And the agency has been practicing discrimination based on race and religion.
The commentary was written by U Kyaw Sein (Education), who said the policy of discrimination by UNHCR suited well to the purpose of Bengali Muslims as it help to their dream of establishing a Muslim country in Rakhie State.
He accused the UN and the Organisation of Islamic State of trying to help Bengali (Rohingya) people to establish a Muslim country in Myanmar, which is a Buddhist majority country
