Here is why -
The murder of a freelance journalist Ko Kyaw Kyaw Naing (a.k.a) Ko Par Gyi in 2014 and rape and murder of two Kachin volunteer teachers last are still unresolved. The military is among the suspects in the both murder cases.
Ko Aung Kyaw Naing was died of unnatural cause, he was died after he was arrested by the military in Kyeik Maraw Township in September 2014. His body was later found with gunshot wounds.
He was arrested after he was return from coverage over fighting between Myanmar military and the troops belong to the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA).
In a similar case, two Christian volunteer teachers were killed in January 2015 and the culprit for their killing is still not arrested.
Also a criminal case on killing of Ko Kyaw Kyaw Naing was closed on 25 March this year by the court after it found that the investigation officers made mistake in their murder probe.
The two teachers of ethnic Kachin origin were killed Nantaung village in Muse Township.
The General Secretary Kachin Baptist Convention (KBC) Dr. Khalam Sam Sun and the wife of Ko Kyaw Kyaw Naing said they will send a petition to the new President, the Commander-in-Chief and the Head of the National Human Rights Commission to do new investigation to find out the truth in the both murder cases.
