Here is why -
Construction of a slaughterhouse owned by a Muslim in Shan State was forced to stop after a complaint by the Nationalist Social Security Network. U Nyunt Wai who is secretary of the network told Kanbawza Times on 22 April the complaint was made as the slaughter house is close to a pond used for drinking water.
He said the complaint against the construction of the slaughterhouse, at Natkwin ward in Shwe Nyaung Township was issued on 20 April and the network will press for taking actions according to the law if the construction has not stop.
According to a population census, more than 1000 Muslims live in 7 wards in Shwe Nyaung town.
