Here is why -
A military-owned newspaper Myawaddy reported that more than 740 child soldiers were released during the past four years. The statistic was issued after a latest batch of 46 child soldiers were released on 12 March.
A ceremony to release the former child soldiers was held at the Military Reception camp in Yangon.
The Myawaddy news also said at least 380 military officers will face disciplinary actions for recruiting under age children.
