Here is why -
Three Muslim youths were arrested for trying to flee Rakhine State. The youth from Kyauktaw Township aged between 13 to 16, were arrested in Myebon Township on 6 May while they plan to travel to Yangon.
They have paid Kyat 1.4 million each to a Rakhine car driver to smuggle them out, who escaped arrest.
The Muslim youths are held in the Myebon Township police station and being questioned under immigration offense.
Their arrest was wrongly reported by the Facebook page of Dr Demo Seik Phwa and other pages. They said the three Kular (a derogatory term used in Myanmar against Muslims and people of South Asian origins) were arrested after they made attempt to rape a woman.
