Here is why -
The authorities rejected the demand by Rohingya people to amend the Green Card (the replacement of White Card), which excluded the word Rohingya. Rakhine immigration senior officer U Khin Soe said, “The applicants are putting the word Rohingya in section one ‘personal details’, which is not recognized by the government, therefore, we will not accept it”.
